Sketch, The prettiest High Tea in London you will ever see.
Perhaps one of the most Instagrammed restaurants in the world, Sketch served as the perfect place for High Tea in London for a girly catch up. We chose the pink-themed room called The Gallery.
Sketch takes the quirky factor up a notch and is not one to be missed. A combination of eclectic art and Michelin star food, the site consists of The Gallery, The Parlour, The Lecture Room and Library, The Glade and The East Bar. Each room is complete with unique, eye-catching decor.
We opted out of the champagne and stuck to the menu of teas. There is a large selection of pastries and a variety of sandwiches, all beautifully presented. The waiters will gladly remove any dish you do not eat and replace it with something else.
Lastly, the experience would not be complete without a toilet break in what must be the most unique bathroom I have ever seen. Taking art one step further, the bathroom has a space age vibe with egg-like pods. The pods are your own private toilets. Yep, you get to “pee in a pod”. They also come complete with a recording of a “space man” making it sound like you are drifting somewhere in space.
High tea is 39 pounds per person for unlimited tea and sandwiches, and with its high turn over every two hours, you must book in advance. There is also a cancellation fine if you do not show up.
Sketch is a walkable distance from Oxford Circus and Piccadilly Circus Underground Station. It’s about a 5-10 minute walk.
